This is a silly thing to say for someone who so frequently works with the radio on, but there is a rock band currently playing outside my office (Friday afternoon company beer bash), and it is doing a very effective job of making it impossible for me to work on the documentation draft that I have to send out for review Tuesday.

In 45 minutes, I'm outta here and going to watch Torchwood.

I don't think that's silly at all. Being able to control content and volume and pause at a moment's notice is a very different thing indeed.
