Via twitter, stumbled across this fascinating blog post about the new Robin Hood movie and how it evolved.
According to our blogger, William Martell, this is how the new Robin Hood movie started out:
Martell goes on to tell the tale of how Nottingham morphed from this starting script into yet another bog-standard Robin Hood movie. Which will make you marvel at how anything original or coherent ever comes out of Hollywood.
It's a shame, though. Because I'd probably have gladly gone to see Nottingham, but I'm only likely to go see this latest Robin Hood if I really need an excuse to sit in an air-conditioned room for a couple of hours after a day of moving chores.

Probably close to 3 years ago, a hot script by Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris called NOTTINGHAM went out to buyers. The script was the Robin Hood story told from the Sheriff of Nottingham’s point of view - as he used period “forensics”, like tracking and arrow trajectory, to find a terrorist who was robbing respectable members of society.
