Paul Cornell has a good blog post on e-books and piracy. The whole post is good, but what really struck me about it was this: "It's hard, these days, to tell people they've done a minor wrong. Because one is now either a saint (or whatever the atheist version of that is) or a paedophile." Because that seems to sum up a problem in our discourse that goes beyond discussions about piracy.

I also stumbled across this post about Infinite City: A San Francisco Atlas, a book that maps the San Francisco Bay Area in a variety of ways from a map that shows agricultural producers and toxic waste sites, to a map showing butterfly habitats and queer public spaces, to a rather surreal phrenological map of San Francisco. I love books of maps, so I may have to pick this one up.
