Oh, California electorate, you confuse me. This election cycle, you've shown compassion for farm animals and pregnant teenagers, but not for gays who want to get married. I'm sure this makes sense somehow.

Still, if I woke up in a world where gay marriage was legal AND Barack Obama was going to be the next president, I might not believe in it.

Hmmm...NPR is saying that Prop. 8 is still too close to call, what with nearly 2 million mail-in and provisional ballots still to be counted. I suppose that's something.
