Goth rock nostalgia asks Ian Astbury what the hell he is wearing

This wasn't the video by The Cult that I was originally going to post, but as I was browsing their videos on Youtube, I became fascinated by how the visual style of the band evolved over the years. So, I'm going to post one of their earliest videos this week, and work my way forward over the next couple of weeks.

This one amazes me by how early-80s New Wave it all looks. Most of the band look like they could easily be members of Duran Duran, except for Ian, who looks...I dunno...like some kind of demented cross between Captain Jack Sparrow and an aerobics instructor?
