A language question: what is the best word to use to encompass the full range from voluntary through coerced cooperation?
I used "cooperation" below, but to me that still often carries the connotation, though not the denotation, of a voluntary arrangement. We recognize "cooperation under duress" as a concept and not an oxymoron, but it's still a very big modifier.
