I am perfectly certain that the slight sore throat I have at the moment is not a sign that I am coming down with the horrible evil flu-thing that Daniel has had for the past three days. Well, mostly certain. *Guzzles tea, takes vitamins*
I really don't want to be getting sick, because I've got plans for tonight and tomorrow night. Tonight: Doctor Who fanclub meeting, where I'll finally get to see the first two episodes of season 4. Tomorrow night: dinner with the local extended family. If I have to miss out on either of these things due to some silly virus, I'm going to be very cross.
Chai acts as a broad-spectrum anti-viral, doesn't it?

Date: 2008-04-25 07:01 pm (UTC)I'm rather partial to Russian Caravan, which has a bit of lapsang souchong in it. I find the straight stuff a little overpowering. Whenever I offer my father tea, he always asks me if I have "that stuff that tastes like pine tar."

Date: 2008-04-26 12:17 am (UTC)I once holidayed in a small fishing village in the North of England where they would use some kind of tar-smelling wood to smoke the locally-caught herring, so that for the longest time I called lapsang souchong "kipper tea".
