Sunday afternoon at the movies...

Saw Star Trek. Liked it a lot, though I didn't have the completely ecstatic response that I've seen some people having about it. I'm not sure if this is the film's fault, or just a reflection of the fact that Star Trek as a franchise has never had quite as deep a hold on my fannish soul as some shows.

I did love Simon Pegg as Mr. Scott, though.

Also saw the trailer for G. I. Joe, which had me completely riveted, but only because Christopher Eccleston's in it. I wonder if he's ever going to be in a good Hollywood film?
