Audio Review: Doctor Who: The Companion Chroncles - The Mahogany Murders

The Mahogany Murders (Doctor Who: The Companion Chronicles) The Mahogany Murders by Andy Lane

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
One of the best Companion Chronicles stories yet, and one that makes great use of the format, as Jago and Litefoot meet to recount their recent adventures to each other, and each tries to upstage the other a bit in the telling. Andy Lane's script perfectly captures the interplay between the characters of Jago and Litefoot and the spooky atmosphere of Victorian London. And the story is so much fun, you don't even mind the complete and total absence of the Doctor.

I really hope we get more Jago and Litefoot, and more Andy Lane from Big Finish in the future.

I'd be quite happy if they got their own spinoff series. It's already Sherlock Holmes With Monsters - only without the licensing issues.
