So, there's a tree in our backyard. I don't remember noticing it when we first looked at the house. Suddenly it's covered in what appear to be apricots.

The tree next to it is sporting one or two small green fruit that look rather like apples or Asian pears.

I was plenty ecstatic about just the lemon tree and the grapefruit tree that I already knew about. Surprise fruit trees are very exciting.

Temporally but not topically relevant: do you both eat Indian food?

Loquat tree, perhaps?

They're common yard trees around here, but not commercially viable fruit. Good, though.

Turns out that the things that look like apricots really are apricots. Still not sure about the other one, but it's not a loquat.

We've actually got quite a variety of fruit trees crammed into a small space: most of them didn't have fruit on them when we first looked at the house, so I wasn't able to identify them.
