So, on closer examination, just about every tree in the backyard is some fruit-bearing variety. I went 'round and looked at them all yesterday evening, and this is what I think we've got:

Apricot (nearly ripe enough to pick and eat), apple, mystery fruit that looks kind of like a small green apple, mystery citrus (probably orange or lime), grapefruit, pear, persimmon, and lemon.

I'm going to need to learn how to prune fruit trees properly, though.

We had an apple tree at the place we were renting before, and the birds got most of the fruit. I'm going to keep a careful eye on this apple tree, and be sure to pick the fruit quickly once it's ripe.
