For most of my life, phoning the pharmacy to request a refill on my birth control pills has been a fairly dull chore. Being able to imagine a future where I'd potentially have to justify doing so to my employer makes the whole thing vastly more thrilling!

(Not that I expect that my employer would have any problem with it. The point being that problem or not, it's none of their business!)

"I promise that I would teach the little tykes to make Molotov cocktails before their fourth birthdays!" "No, we know your husband." "Oh, fine, I promise he would teach them to make them." "All right, approved."

For some reason I'm thinking now of a version of the Firefly theme song, with "you can't take my pills/IUD from me."

But yes. I find myself being glad I don't work at a Catholic university, which is sad, because I know lots of awesome faculty and administrators at Catholic universities.

There's always the old classic, "This womb is my womb/It is not your womb/And there is no room/For Rick Santorum!"

(Back when I was a Planned Parenthood clinic escort, we used to sing, "There is no room/for Randall Terry." The names change, but the crap, disappointingly, remains the same.)
