Poking my head briefly above the morass of work and other commitments I'm currently swamped by just to mention that I listened to
ann_leckie's story Hesperia and Glory while on my walk this morning, and quite enjoyed it. You gotta like a story that combines strange goings on at an English country house with dynastic intrigue on Mars.
Okay, to be fair - I have to like a story that combines strange goings on at an English country house with dynastic intrigue on Mars. The rest of you may not be susceptible that way, but still, I recommend the story.
For those of you who aren't into audio, the story was also reprinted in Rich Horton's Science Fiction: The Best of the Year, 2007 Edition.
