Wow, this week

So, yesterday alone included attempted break-in/burglary of my house, $1000 of unexpected car repairs, and a dental hygienist whose capacity for inflicting pain was thankfully matched only by her brisk efficiency. Not to mention the whole ongoing situation in Boston, which despite the fact that I haven't lived in Boston for years, feels more immediate than I suspect it would if it were going on in some other city for which I don't have happy childhood memories of spending time in places where bombs have gone off and police officers have been shot.

Here's hoping next week will be a bit easier. For everyone.

Seriously. What the hell is going on this week? I mean... that article in The Onion was funny (http://www.theonion.com/articles/jesus-this-week,32105/), but also... what the hell?

I'm sorry to hear about the break-in and the repairs. And the pain.
