Hey, why didn't anyone tell me that the BBC made a series about female former codebreakers from Bletchley Park who solve crimes in postwar London? Because apparently the BBC made a TV series just for me and I totally failed to notice. Have any of you out there seen it? Is it any good?

I see that season 1 is available on Netflix streaming, so I will watch and report back when I can. Which given the amount of time I have to devote to TV lately, might not be terribly soon. This is probably why making TV series just for me is not a good business move and apparently must be left to overseas public service broadcasters.

It's good. It's also very dark; I hadn't expected how very dark it was.

They're making a second season, too.

Good to know. I won't fire it up expecting something light and fluffy.
