I don't want to harsh anyone's squee, but I watched the Star Wars trailer and was profoundly unmoved. Which makes me kind of sad.

I still expect that I'll see and enjoy the new Star Wars movie. But apparently I'm not ready to be excited yet.

Dude, you're entitled to your own impressions and opinions! It's not like you're stomping around everyone's blogs and listing off all the reasons you think the movie will suck. ;)

I didn't think I would be so into it if I hadn't been in a place yesterday where I needed something good to be excited about, and all my nostalgia buttons just exploded with squee when Han and Chewie appeared.

I did get a nice little glow of nostalgia out of the Han and Chewie scene. I mean, I'm not made of stone. ;)

If I'm not properly excited about the movie by the time it hits theaters, I'll just see about taking the niblings along. Nothing restores one's childlike sense of excitement like actual children.

I can't really get excited until I have some sense of what the movie will be about. Right now, the trailers are all going "HEY HEY NOSTALGIA WHEEEEEEEE" -- and nostalgia is great, don't get me wrong, but I do need more than that.

The eldest nibbling has already declared the original Star Wars to be the best movie ever. I'm sure we can get him through empire and return of the Jedi in time to accompany you
