I had a brief moment just now where only the fact that my coworkers have publicly praised me for not losing my cool in stressful situations kept me from losing my cool in a stressful situation.

Now that the adrenaline rush has passed, I think I can actually deal with the situation fairly easily. (I don't know about you, but it's always the little things that get to me.)

Have you read Banewreaker & Godslayer by J. Carey? Your post title is one of the core concepts of the duology, imo :-)

Go you!!

I haven't yet read Banewreaker and Godslayer, but they are on my "must read one of these days" list. Perhaps I should bump them up the list a bit.

I highly recomend them - although i had to "gird my loins" to finish Godslayer due to really liking the main charactors - 'cause of course they loose 'cause the "good guys" win :-S

Meanwhile, as you might've guessed, your advice worked. Thanks! (I figured there was probably something along those lines that I was omitting, but hell if I wanted to run the risk of randomly trying things.)
