Promotion

I've been promoted to Staff Technical Writer!

Amusingly enough, the first I heard about this was when someone stopped me in the hall to congratulate me. My manager sent out the email announcement while I was away from my desk.

Congrats! Since you've been a technical writer on staff there for a while, I gather the title means more than it says on the surface?

Thanks! Yes, the terminology seems odd to me, but "Staff Technical Writer" is the next level up from "Senior Technical Writer".
