Mmmm, books...

Daniel and I ended up doing our book-buying expedition to Berkeley today rather than yesterday, since we thought the weather was likely to be better today. I managed not to spend as ridiculously much money as I'd feared I might, by virtue of the fact that several things that I was specifically looking for weren't on the shelves. (One of the staff at Other Change of Hobbit mentioned that they are more aggressive, in these credit crunched times, about returning hardcovers that don't sell promptly. I presume that they are also ordering less extra stock in paperbacks.)

Undoubtedly my best find was a used copy of Doctor Who: The Unfolding Text at Half-Price Books for $5.

now thats a deal 5 bucks for a book
